You will fall in love. You will see the best of that person. You will see them at their worst. And you will decide that you want both. You will let that love burn and melt away the walls you have built up around your heart. You will rediscover its warmth, its comfort.
Love is a beautiful and terrifying thing, because it’s so hard to know whether you are loosing yourself or becoming more yourself. Or perhaps, it is this: You find someone with whom the risk of loss is out weighted by the potential for gain.
You find yourself willing, for the first time in your life, to courageously release the person who you once were, in order to create space from some future version of yourself. You choose to open yourself up to be profoundly influenced and inspired by another. Then offer your own loving nudge in return.
You will fall in love. You will see the best of that person, and you will see the worst. And you will commit yourself to observing their quirks, pointing out their strengths, and helping them overcome their struggles. Mutual betterment will be your top priority.
And all fear will be diminished, because you now realize that you no longer need to face anything alone.
Whether you have already found your one true love or are still waiting to meet your special someone, let this be a reminder that you are worthy of love and more capable of opening your heart than you realize. It sounds cliche, but when you meet The One, you will know.
If you found your life’s partner years ago but have since fallen out of sync, let this be an opportunity to reflect back on who you fell in love with and, once more, fearlessly open your heart to the possibility of falling ever more deeply and becoming more yourself.
Love is a partnership–a handshake, kiss, and commitment. It is beautiful and terrifying; it is painfully messy and somehow still absolutely perfect.
Happy Valentine’s day dear friend🥰🥰
